A California Saga--Freezing! I have lived and farmed here in Davis for decades. In the 80's the winter task was to wrap pipes, And cover plants, preventing freezing. On the plus side, I skated with my two boys on one of our fishponds! Never, would we have envisioned a warming, changing so much. Now it is draught, fire, and water challenges-- Wells, once dug to a depth of thirty feet, Are now obligated to excavate to hundreds (200 then 400)! I am near the end of my time on this earth-- How, in 'god's name', will my offspring Cope with these huge, rapid, human-induced changes, Manifesting, on the once climatic 'golden age' of our planet we so loved?
